Nature is within
Impressio
Naturae
Impressio Naturae is a multidisciplinary collection featuring compositions of natural elements such as flowers, roots, and other organic materials.
Initially created on photographic paper in the darkroom, the concept of impressing nature evolved into clay and later into brass through patina and engraving.
The concept of impressing nature taps into the idea that natural elements are deeply embedded within our unconscious as a symbolic language. Neuroscience further supports this connection, showing that our nervous system responds positively to nature, fostering a sense of calm, belonging, and wellbeing. As we are intrinsically connected to the natural world, these artworks explore natural symbols and the ways in which they may resonate within us, reminding us that we are, fundamentally, a part of nature itself. Nature nourishes both body and soul, leaving an indelible imprint within us.
